Red On Yella, Kill a Fella

Join Indievents and Club David, Wednesday, November 11th, for the South Dakota Premiere of Red On Yella, Kill a Fella.

Finally, Indievents is screening a western!

We are very excited to be screening this film. The film made its world premiere earlier this year at Dallas International Film Festival. It also played at Alamo City Film Festival and the South Texas Underground Film Festival. The film was picked up by a major distributor to be released early next year. Our screening in Sioux Falls is one of very few before its wide release and will be the first screening outside of Texas! We have been talking to the filmmakers for over a year making this screening happening!

In the autumn of 1900, outlaw Claude Barbee puts his "retirement plan" in action, attempting to lead his train-robbing gang across Texas to recover a cash stash hidden after a botched railroad heist. They soon discover they're being hunted by more than just the law - but rather a merciless, unexpected evil quite possibly greater than themselves.

"True Grit meets Natural Born Killers ... Red on Yella begins as a classic western, merges into a road trip movie, sprinkles a little slasher/horror, borders on experimental, and ends in the territory of the thriller ... ranking among the best in the history of westerns." -Truth On Cinema

"They don't make Westerns like this anymore...Red On Yella, Kill a Fella is a gritty, rough and tumble Western reminiscent of the spaghetti Westerns of old with a thick layer of grime and gore slathered on top of it." - Ain't it Cool News

Following the film writers/directors will participate with a live audience Q and A via Skype!
