Sisters of the Plague

Join Indievents, and Club David, Wednesday, October 7th, for the South Dakota Premiere of Sisters of the Plague.

Sisters of the Plague is a new creepy thriller directed by first-time feature filmmaker Jorge Torres-Torres and co-written and produced by Jason Banker (Toad Road, Felt). It made its world premiere at Outfest in July and is getting picked up at several film fests this fall.

In this New Orleans ghost story, Jo, a haunted house tour guide, and her girlfriend share a home which become infested with evil spirits when her sickly father comes to visit. Jo, desperate to rid the house of the evil presence, seeks the help of a medium only to be warned she is dealing with a power far beyond her control.

"The climactic scenes depicting Jo's ultimate fate have an unnerving quality" - The Hollywood Reporter

"this feminine narrative approach makes Sisters of the Plague one of the most unpredictable horror films of recent memory." - Hammer to Nail

Co-writer and director Jorge Torres-Torres will join us for a live Q and A via Skype following the screening.

The screening will be held at Club David in Sioux Falls on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, and will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 in advance and $10 at the door. You can purchase advance tickets at Club David, Zandbroz, The Last Stop CD Shop, or online at EventBrite (click button below).
