The Editor

Join Indievents and Club David on Wednesday, April 1st, for the South Dakota Premiere of The Editor.

Rey Ciso was once the greatest editor the world had ever seen. Since a horrific accident left him with four wooden fingers on his right hand, he's had to resort to cutting pulp films and trash pictures. When the lead actors from the film he's been editing turn up murdered at the studio, Rey is fingered as the number one suspect. The bodies continue to pile up in this absurdist giallo-thriller as Rey struggles to prove his innocence and learn the sinister truth lurking behind the scenes.

The Editor has played in film festivals worldwide including the Toronto International Film Festival and Samain Du Cinema Fantasique in Nice, France where it won Best Film.

The Editor is more than a goofy parody, it is a true love letter to the Italian Giallo films. As much homage as there is satire, some of the music in the film was even composed by Claudio Simonetti (Suspiria). The movie is a lot of fun even if you are not familiar with the films of Dario Argento or Lucio Fulci. But if you are a fan, you definitely do not want to miss this one

After the film there will be a live Q and A via Skype with the guys from Astron 6.

The screening will be held at Club David in Sioux Falls on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, and will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 in advance and $10 at the door.
