Drunktown's Finest

Join us Wednesday, November 5th, as Indievents and Club David present the South Dakota premier of Drunktown's Finest.

Drunktown's Finest debuted at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and has played at numerous festivals since. It has won numerous awards including The Grand Jury Award for US Dramatic Feature at Outfest 2014 in Los Angeles.

Drunktown's Finest follows three Native American teenagers; a rebellious father-to-be, a devout Christian girl, and a promiscuous transsexual, as they strive to escape the hardships of life on an Indian reservation.

Preceding the film is the short Natives, written and directed by Jeremy Hersh.

Going home can be anything but a picnic, especially if you're estranged, not out to your folks, and have a pushy girlfriend in tow! This dark comedy concerns a girl so fascinated with her girlfriend's Native American roots that she begins to lose sight of their relationship.

Live Q and A via Skype with writer/director Sydney Freeland will follow the screening.

The screening will be held at Club David in Sioux Falls on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, and will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 at the door.

All profits from the screening will be donated to the AIDS Walk benevolence fund.
