Double Feature Friday: A Night with Creep Creepersin

Join Us at Bigs Sports Bar and Billiards for our first Double Feature Friday: A Night with Creep Creepersin.

Creep Creepersin is an author, filmmaker, musician, actor and podcaster from Los Angeles, California. He has been called 'the next Jess Franco' and 'the new Roger Corman' by his peers and top sites.

As an author, Creep has written over 20 books including The Black Star Canyon series, the Slasherton series, and his bizarro novella series aptly named Creepology, among others.

Creep has written, produced and directed over 50 feature films, short films, music videos and web series since 2006. His films have a long range over many different horror sub-genres including comedy, action, exploitation and science fiction.

Creep is the frontman and songwriter for the horror punk band Creepersin that was formed in 2004. Creepersin has been looked at as one of the godfathers of the new millennium's horror punk/goth rock/dark wave scene. The band's first release, The Rise of Creepersin, has been called 'The Horror Punk Bible' by reviewers and fans.

As an actor, Creep has been in over 30 films and web shows mainly as a character actor. The wide range of roles he has played have varied from the nerdy Crom in Monster Killers Club, to the tormented husband in He, to the redneck vampire in Vaginal Holocaust. More recently, Creep can be seen as The Evil Goldfist in action/comedy Finger Bang, where he plays a Bond-type super villain.

We will start the night off with the kung-fu/action/comedy Finger Bang! Finger Bang! is the story of Bruce, an out-of-shape, kind of geeky, kind of guy. The story starts off by this nerdy guy accidentally killing his brand new (and first) girlfriend during their first intimate moment by a mysterious gunshot that he can't figure out where it came from. Noticing that his finger is smoking, he puts two and two together. Bruce can shoot bullets out of his fingers! Depressed, Bruce decides to take his own life until a wise old Madge appears and mentors him and convinces him that this "deformity" is really a gift and that Bruce has a higher calling and most protect the world from villainy. Bruce AKA The Fingerbanger, must go up against who will soon be his nemesis, The Golden Fist! Can The Fingerbanger save the world from the evil power of Golden Fist's fist of gold?

The second film, The Bitch that Cried Wolf, was shot in Minnesota and tells the story of a girl who may or may not have inherited the wolf gene that sometimes skips a generation. The movie stars hot up-and-coming actress Mindy Robinson (King of the Nerds, V/H/S/2) as well as Charles Hubbell, Rachel Grubb, Sarah French, Johnny Roger, Naoyuki Ikeda, Jennifer Prettyman, Lisa Pechmiller, Ryan J Gilmer and Matthew J Kaeder. The producer and some of the Minnesota cast may be in attendance.

After the screening, Creep Creepersin will take the stage and answer questions about the films, filmmaking, distribution, how to write a novel or screenplay quickly, how to start a film production studio, how to make a film in a weekend, and more. We may even get him to play acoustic versions of some of his band's songs, including the Finger Bang! theme song!

The screenings will begin at 8 pm. Tickets are only $10 in advance and $15 at the door (get your tickets in advance and save yourself $5). Pizza, wings, and other pub food will be available during the event. This is an 18 and up event, so be sure to bring your IDs.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet and view a truly independent director and a couple of his films. It should be a blast!

I hope to see you all there!

The screening will be held at Big's Sports Bar in Sioux Falls on Friday, June 6, 2014, and will begin at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
